Operation all set.

Ella is all set for Surgery tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd March) at 7:30 am - we won't see her for 6-8 hours after that. Then it's 5-10 days in the hospital. -- 2-5 of those in the ICU and the rest in a regular room.

It is going to be an early start but it is better as Ella cannot eat for about 12 hours before the operation.

Right lung

Ella's right lung is doing slightly better, which is a good thing.
 
Ella is completely out of it at the moment. She has some ipod headphones playing childrens classical music near her ears, this was suggested by a social worker here as we were told that it may help her to block out the bleeps and general hospital noise.
 
No more updates than that.

    I am happy to have found the blog. I hope you all get some sleep (at least 5 minutes) tonight. FYI-ipods work for adults too!
