Operation all set.

Ella is all set for Surgery tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd March) at 7:30 am - we won't see her for 6-8 hours after that. Then it's 5-10 days in the hospital. -- 2-5 of those in the ICU and the rest in a regular room.

It is going to be an early start but it is better as Ella cannot eat for about 12 hours before the operation.

Morning update


Michelle got up at 4:30am to go to see Ella. Ella has been awake since about 4.
Michelle is sitting by the bed with Ella on her lap at the moment which is helping them both.
Ella has some fluid in her lung that needs draining so later they are to sedate her and put another drain tube in...apparently this is not unusual.
We have to get her to blow soap bubbles as the blowing helps to clear her lungs.
