Operation all set.

Ella is all set for Surgery tomorrow (Tuesday 2nd March) at 7:30 am - we won't see her for 6-8 hours after that. Then it's 5-10 days in the hospital. -- 2-5 of those in the ICU and the rest in a regular room.

It is going to be an early start but it is better as Ella cannot eat for about 12 hours before the operation.

Home at last

Ella is home at last and is resting more soundly than she has in a week.
Michelle and I would like to thank you for all of of your warmth and caring, all of the visits, messages, moral support, gifts for Ella and delicious meals, amongst other things.
This ordeal would have been a lot more difficult to get through without you.

    Can't believe all of this happened in just eight days, and Ella's back home. I know it probably seemed like forever to you guys.
    I'm just glad it's over, Ella's back home healing, and getting back to a normal life. All of you are so strong to get through this.

    So glad Ella's back safe and sound at home....although did you get to bring home that red "Ella-mobile"? Maybe Phil can ride that to work now.
    Anyway, Ella is sure lucky to have you two...I'm sure she's well on her way to being back on the bike trail again!
